Lonny D. Grimmer, D.D.S, F.A.G.D.
Dr. Lonny D. Grimmer has been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry since 1997. Originally a California native, Dr. Grimmer earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business with a minor in Japanese Language at California State University at Sacramento in 1986. Dr. Grimmer pursued an earlier career in Japanese business, working for large Japanese corporations in the Los Angeles area. However, following an earlier dream to become a dentist, Dr. Grimmer moved his entire family to Virginia in 1993, and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia in 1997.
Dr. Grimmer continues today to put a high priority on dental education. He travels the country every year to attend the best courses in continuing dental education, including many courses in cosmetic and implant dentistry. He enjoys learning the newest techniques, skills, and technologies that will allow him to give his patients the highest quality care modern dentistry has to offer.
In July of 2008, Dr. Grimmer was presented with the Fellowship Award in the Academy of General Dentistry at the Academy’s Convocation Ceremony in Orlando, Florida. In order to receive this award, Dr. Grimmer was required to complete over 500 hours of continuing dental education, pass a comprehensive written exam, and fulfill at least three years of continuing membership with the AGD. As a recipient of this award, Dr. Grimmer has joined an elite group of dentists across the country who are committed to the highest quality of dental care.
Dr. Grimmer is an active member in many dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association (where he serves as a delegate representing dentists from the Northern Virginia region at the annual state dental meetings), the Northern Virginia Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He also donates his time at the Loudoun County Adult Free Dental Clinic in Leesburg, which provides dental services for Loudoun County residents who may not otherwise be able to afford proper oral health care.
Dr Grimmer enjoys being an active member in local Loudoun County community affairs. He serves as a board member for the Lakes of Ashbrook Condo Owners Association, as a volunteer baseball umpire for the Upper Loudoun Little League, as a volunteer basketball coach for the Western Loudoun Basketball League, and as Scoutmaster for Troop 953 of Hamilton, Virginia.
Dr. Grimmer has been married to his wife, for twenty-six years, and has five sons, ranging in age from twenty-five to fourteen years old. In addition to spending time with his very active family, he also enjoys playing baseball, basketball, golf, working out at the gym, reading, genealogical research, and road biking (he often rides the 36-mile round trip from his home in Purcellville to the office in Ashburn).
David Q. Le, D.D.S., F.A.G.D., F.I.C.O.I.
Dr. David Q. Le has practiced in Alexandria, Virginia, since 1998 as an associate in a private practice office emphasizing family and cosmetic dentistry. Hailing from nearby Fairfax, Virginia, Dr. Le attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology in 1993. After graduating cum laude from the Medical College of Virginia - Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia, in 1997, he went on to complete a one-year General Practice Residency at the V.A. Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Here, he received further dental training with medically-compromised patients, which is invaluable in the private practice setting. Dr. Le has and continues to take numerous continuing education courses in all phases of general dentistry, with special emphasis on cosmetic and implant disciplines.
Dr. Le received the prestigious Fellowship Award during the Academy of General Dentistry’s Convocation ceremony held in July 2005 in Washington, D.C. This Fellowship Award is granted to dentists looking to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession. In order to receive this honor, Dr. Le completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive written exam and fulfilled three years of continuing membership with the AGD. The Fellowship Award symbolizes excellence in the dental profession and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Dr. Le also earned Fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). The award ceremony took place at the ICOI/New York University 20th Annual Implant Symposium on December 12, 2009 in New York City. ICOI membership signifies commitment to continuous study and training in the field of implantology, whether placing or restoring dental implants. Fellows of the ICOI have pursued voluntary programs that evaluate and examine their knowledge of implant dentistry by experts in the field. They have been recognized by their peers and are local leaders as well as global ambassadors. They have accepted a lifelong commitment to learning as well as to promoting ICOI's renowned international camaraderie.
Dr. Le has donated his time and services to the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic in Falls Church, Virginia, since 2000. This clinic provides indigents of Fairfax and Arlington Counties the necessary dental care they otherwise would not be able to afford. Dr. Le is also a very committed member of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations, and as a dental team member of the Good Samaritan Medical and Dental Ministry, he participates in annual overseas dental mission trips to Vietnam. Their dental team provides basic dental services to the underprivileged population.
Dr. Le has been married to his wife for ten years and has two sons. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, golf, working out at the gym, travel photography, and reading.
